In short: Nooma does not require an account and does not collect personal
information on its own. Your mixes, favorites, and settings are stored only on your device.
The app shows banner ads through Google AdMob, which may collect device and usage data to
serve ads. In regions such as the EU/UK, you are asked for consent before personalized ads
are used.
1. Who we are
This app (“Nooma”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) is provided by its developer (“the Developer”).

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
None. Nooma has no sign-up, login, or user account, and does not ask you to submit personal
information such as your name, email, or contact details.
2.2 Information stored on your device
To make the app work, Nooma saves the following locally on your device only. This
data is not transmitted to us or to any server, and it is removed when you uninstall the app:
Your last sound mix and playback state
Your favorites / saved presets
App settings (e.g., dark level, background playback, sleep timer preferences)
Your selected language
2.3 Information collected by advertising partners
Nooma displays banner advertising through Google AdMob (a Google service).
To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process certain information,
which may include:
To provide core features — play, mix, and remember your sounds and settings.
To keep audio playing reliably in the background and show media controls in your notification/lock screen.
To display advertising, which keeps the app free (handled by Google AdMob as described above).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use analytics or tracking SDKs of our own.
4. Advertising & consent
Nooma uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent. Depending on
your region and applicable law:
EU / UK / Switzerland (GDPR): You are presented with a consent form before
personalized ads are used. You may choose personalized ads, or limit ads to
non-personalized. You can change your choice later from the app’s settings where available.
United States (incl. CCPA/CPRA): You may exercise applicable choices
regarding the “sale”/“sharing” of personal information as provided by Google’s controls.
You can also limit ad personalization at the device level:
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete/Reset advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization”.
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
5. Permissions we request
Notifications: to show playback controls while sound is playing.
Foreground service / background audio: to keep sounds playing when the app is in the background or the screen is off.
Ignore battery optimizations (Android, optional): to prevent the system from stopping long, uninterrupted playback. You choose whether to allow this.
Internet & advertising ID: required to load ads.
We do not access your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or precise GPS location.
6. Children’s privacy
Although Nooma includes sounds that parents may use to soothe babies, the app is designed to
be used by adults and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the
minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact
us and we will take appropriate steps. Ads are served in accordance with Google’s policies for
a general-audience app.
7. Data retention & security
Because on-device data (mixes, favorites, settings) is stored only on your device, it remains
until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data processed by Google for advertising is retained
according to Google’s own policies. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we
keep the app’s data footprint intentionally minimal.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict
processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because Nooma itself does not hold
personal data about you on any server:
To erase all on-device data, uninstall the app or clear its storage in system settings.
For advertising data held by Google, use the Google controls linked above, or contact Google.
The app is available globally. Advertising data may be processed by Google in countries other
than your own, under Google’s safeguards for international transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by
updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, within the app or store listing.
